Where better for Blofeld to get his scar than in a movie named SPECTRE?!?!?
I love the net jump. When he untied her I was thinking how the hell is he going to get out of that building from the top floor? Very cool stunt IMO. Would’ve preferred that Bond had grabbed a proper assault rifle from a hidden compartment in the MI6 boat to shoot down the helo, but it’s Bond – best shot in the service.
Revealing Blofeld’s name at the same time we first see his scar would’ve been superior – great idea!
Very good point that Waltz has much more screen time. Pleasance’s appearance had more impact because they teased us with his identity over several films that really built him up. I think the problem lies in Waltz’s performance, he just seemed too laid back, especially at the end. He should’ve been properly fired up after having his beautiful face scarred by a time bomb, his beautifully designed base destroyed by one man with one gun, & being shot down in his copter by that same man again with one gun, so humiliating.
Maybe it would’ve been better for Blofeld’s name to be revealed in the next film, unless they wanted to get it out of the way to focus on something that’s hopefully great.
Reddit’s so depressing, most people there trash Spectre & love Skyfall. It makes me afraid the next one will be more like Skyfall. I really can’t explain why Skyfall was so underwhelming. I really want to like it, I’ve watched it 3 times hoping I’ll finally get something I missed. But it just doesn’t hold a candle to Spectre. For me that is.
